Italy - Feb 17

On Monday, Italy declared it would not intervene militarily in Libya to help restore order undermined by Islamic State violence.  Italy is less than 190 miles from Libya and has therefore become a prime destination for Libyan migrants seeking refuge and asylum in Europe.  Several international leaders believe Italy should intervene with a UN-backed mission to bring peace to the war-torn country, but Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has chosen to pursue diplomatic efforts instead.
